County Carlow

County Carlow (Irish: Contae Cheatharlach or simply Ceatharlach) is one of the traditional counties of Ireland. It is located within the province of Leinster. It was named after the town of Carlow. It has an overall population of 50,349, as of April 2006. The town of Carlow, built on the River Barrow, has a population of 20,724 (2006 Census). County Carlow is also where the last grey wolf of Ireland was shot and killed.
